30-Day Pro Trial FAQ
Answers to common questions about the KubeWatch free trial.
Every new KubeWatch account gets a 30-day Pro trial automatically. Here are answers to the most common questions.
Do I need a credit card to start the trial?
No. You can sign up and use the full Pro trial without entering any payment information. A credit card is only required when you choose to upgrade to a paid plan.
What do I get during the trial?
Full Pro-tier access:
- Up to 10 agents
- 30 days of metrics retention
- 100 alert rules
- Up to 10 team members
- Priority email support
- All notification channels (Email, Slack, PagerDuty, Webhook)
What happens after the 30 days?
If you haven't added a payment method and upgraded, your account is automatically downgraded to the Free plan. This means:
- Agents: only 1 agent remains active; others will stop reporting (but their data is retained for 7 days in case you upgrade)
- Retention: metrics older than 24 hours are no longer accessible
- Alert rules: only your 5 most recently modified rules remain enabled
- Team members: only the account owner retains access
You'll receive email reminders at 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before your trial ends.
Can I extend the trial?
Trials are 30 days for everyone. If you need more time to evaluate, contact support, in some cases we can grant a short extension.
Can I upgrade during the trial?
Yes. If you decide KubeWatch is right for you before the trial ends, you can upgrade at any time. Billing starts on the day you upgrade and the 30-day trial period ends.
What if I add a credit card but don't upgrade?
Adding a payment method does not automatically start billing. Billing only begins when you explicitly select a paid plan and confirm the upgrade.
Will my data be deleted if I don't upgrade?
No data is deleted when you downgrade to Free. However, you won't be able to access metrics older than 24 hours while on the Free plan. If you upgrade later, historical data becomes accessible again up to the window covered by your new plan's retention period.
Can I invite teammates during the trial?
Yes. You can invite up to 10 team members during the Pro trial. If you downgrade to Free, only the account owner retains access. Invited members will lose access and their invitations will be deactivated.
What counts as a "day" for the trial?
The trial starts at the moment you complete signup and lasts exactly 30 × 24 hours. The dashboard shows a countdown in Settings → Billing.
