Upgrade & Downgrade
How to change your KubeWatch subscription plan.
Upgrading your plan
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click Change Plan
- Select the plan you want to upgrade to
- Enter your payment details (if not already on file)
- Click Confirm upgrade
Changes take effect immediately. You'll receive a prorated charge for the remainder of the current billing period.
What changes immediately on upgrade

| Metrics retention | Historical data becomes accessible if it's within the new retention window |
| Alert rules | Additional rules can be created immediately |
| Team members | New members can be invited immediately |
| API rate limit | Enforced at the new rate within seconds |
Annual billing
When upgrading to annual billing, you're charged for the full year upfront at the discounted rate. The current monthly billing cycle is closed and prorated.
Downgrading your plan
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click Change Plan
- Select the lower plan
- Click Confirm downgrade
Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain your current plan's features until then.
What happens on downgrade
| Scenario | Behavior |
|---|---|
| More agents than the new plan allows | Agents above the limit stop reporting but are not deleted. If you upgrade again, they reconnect automatically. |
| More alert rules than the new plan allows | Excess rules are disabled (not deleted). Re-enable them if you upgrade. |
| More team members than the new plan allows | Excess members lose access at downgrade time. The account owner's access is never affected. |
| Retention window shrinks | Data older than the new retention limit becomes inaccessible but is not immediately deleted (kept for 30 days in case of re-upgrade). |
Downgrading to Free
You can downgrade to the Free plan at any time. All paid features are removed at the end of your billing period. The same consequences as above apply.
